I feel so empty inside. Your personality was reflected so much in your music that I feel I knew you as one of my closest friends. Your contributions to the music world are priceless. God gave you a gift, and you in turn shared it with us. I am so glad that you were able to tour one last time with David Gilmour and friends before your departure. We´re very sorry for Richard, with whom we´ve both always felt very sympathetic since the early days of The Pink Floyd; forty years after "Summer'68" and thirty years after "Summer Elegy", the end of this summer has seen the departure of our friend. May he keep himself forever up there with the Gods, as his music and his band's were always meddled with the clouds.
