13 Apr 2010 – from Joy Chamberlain Francis
Aunt Mary was the beautiful, glamorous one with the infectious laugh and great smile. She and my Uncle Loren (my mom, Doris' brother who loved Mary like a sister)) made a striking couple! Cousins Ronnie, Kitty (Carolee) and then Debbie all had good and mischeivous times with me and my brothers and sisters. (probably a good thing they moved to CA)I'm glad you had such a long, rich life Aunt Mary.

Just heard the news from my Grandma Laurel. To my extended family, I am sorry for your loss and Aunt Mary will truly be missed. One of my favorite memories was a 4th of July family reunion at the "ranch" a few years back. RIP Aunt Mary.

Mary was a lovely lady who always had a smile on her face. She was a gracious hostess and a very hospitable person. Tom and I cherished and enjoyed her friendship.

11 Jan 2010 – from Rod Peck
To Ron,Kitty, and Debby,
I have many fond memories of your Mom and family. My first memory was during Christmas of 1971 in the Med during our second deployment aboard USS John F. Kennedy.
There were many more. Your Mom always made us feel at home and part of the family. Always smiling and cheerful, generous and fun.
Please accept my condolences and from Cinda as well.
Rod

11 Jan 2010 – from Linda Gillette
I first met Mary in 1970, when,as a freshman in college, I met her daughter Debbie. She immediately took me in and made a member of her family and always welcomed me with open arms. She has always been like a second mother to me and I was lucky to have her unconditional love. She will be missed by all who loved her, including me.

I will always remember Mary for her love of animals, plants and flowers, and for her love of people and socializing, especially laughing with family and friends. She loved good food and cooking, and giving great parties, especially at her beloved "ranch" in Pauma Valley where she will rest. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
