14 Jul 2009 – from Angie Fournier
Kailey was a student of mine in several psychology classes. She was a joy to have in the classroom and I often got the feeling that she didn't appreciate how bright and talented she was. Her peers enjoyed her in the classroom as well. I feel fortunate to have known her and so sad that the world lost her.

13 May 2009 – from Jim Rafferty
Kailey was a student in a class I taught spring semester at BSU. She always brought a smile and an enthusiasm for working with her classmates. I corresponded with her more than once about the course; she was bright, hard working, and cared about her education. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends, those who knew her for much longer than the short amount of time that I was able to.

8 May 2009 – from Kara Salazar
Kailey,
We miss and love you so much. I know you are at peace now and watching over your family. My Minnesota trips to see my ridiculous Maki family will not be the same with out you. Remember that one Christmas we stayed up and watched 6 movies, rewinded that part in America's Sweethearts over and over laughing until we were in tears, then ate at Taco John's the next day! You affected so many people's lives positively and you will never be forgotten.
We love you Kailey Maki, I am thinking...

8 May 2009 – from Marsha Driscoll
Kailey was a bright, enthusiastic, gifted young woman. She brought her best to the classes she took from me, and I was always glad to see her there. She took her work as a psychology student seriously, but she managed to bring laughter and pleasure to our studies. I grieve for her and for those she leaves behind. She will be missed.

6 May 2009 – from Kirsten Hengstler
I knew Kailey very little, though I was in a few classes with her at BSU. The impression I had was that she was sweet, fun, happy, intelligent and quiet. Listening to her friends talk about her made me more sorry for not knowing her better. I hope that she and her family and friends can find peace. I know she is with God, and someday all questions will be answered. Until then, I hope everyone that has been touched by her will find comfort and love together in this difficult time. My heart and pr...

5 May 2009 – from Kyra Wurm
As Kailey's friend and classmate, my heart is heavy with sorrow and grief for Kailey's family. I certainly will miss her friendship. In the midst of times we cannot fully understand, we can count on God to take us into his care and give us strength to face the future. I pray that He will support Kristie, Kevin, Lindie and all of Kailey’s family and friends with His comforting love during this difficult time, and finally receive us into His eternal kingdom where he promises to wipe all tears f...

Kailey was a wonderful person and friend and added a lot to my life in the short time that I knew her. She always had a smile on her face and made me laugh. I will miss her always. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray that you find peace during this hard time.

5 May 2009 – from Leif
I knew Kailey through a writing course which we both took this past fall. In the class we were asked to write essays and then share them with the class. She was a really good writer; we always thought that she could write for a magazine or some larger publication!
I cannot fully express in words how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Just know that I will continue to pray that you and your family may find peace during this difficult time.
